    Description: Aikido is the way of "peace and harmony". Aikido is an internal martial art, which means you will learn to control and understand you from "inside" and the external movements generated are just the reflect of your internal level. It is a martial art of self defense. Use the energy of your partner is the key of this martial art. Aikido uses the circle as principle to block and in throwing techniques.You will learn how you don't need to have muscle to protect yourself. You can be strong in been passive. In Aikido, you will learn to use shoulders, elbows and hand (wrist) locks, and how to block attacks from body parts or knife, stick, sword...
    There is no competition in Aikido.


    Capoeira

    Creator: African's slaves
    Description: Called sometimes a Brazilian "Dance", Capoeira is a real martial art. It was created by slaves from Africa who used that martial art to escape from their masters. To be able to pratice that art, they pretended that it was just a traditional dance and could continue to train and improve their techniques and their physical condition.
    Capoeira is practiced without real contact, the goal is to try to touch your partner without beeing touch yourself. Very esthetic, Capoeira looks like a "game" now. You will be surprised by movements close to the floor or high in the air. Capoeira's kicks use round form, so are very beautifull to see but very powerfull !
    Don't worry in Capoeira you have to control yourself and don't hit your partner in full power.
    Capoeira is practiced with brazilian's musics and when everybody make a circle and people "play"inside you can sing and play brazilian musical instruments too !
    A show of Capoeira is very amazing to see.... let's see by yourself !

    Description:Kickboxing started in the US during the 1970's when American karate practitioners became frustrated with strict controls on martial arts competitions that didn't allow full contact kicks and punches. Many questions were raised when the sport began about the high risk of injury. As a result, safety rules were improved and protective clothing was added. As this is a relatively new sport there are no long-term traditions. The sport has undergone changes and been refined during the last two decades. Competitors use sparring, kicks, punches, kick blocks, shadow boxing, and wood breaking that is learned and applied under professional instruction.

    Creator: Imi Lichtenfeld
    Description: The creator born in slovakia, created the KravMaga system after his fight vs fascists.When, in the thirties, fascism came to the fore, Imi gathered together a group of young athletes whose mission was to protect the local Jewish community by fighting the fascist troops. He therefore took part numerous fights, sharpening his awareness of the difference between street battles and sporting events. The first principles of Krav Maga were thus born.
    Due to his actions he soon became unpopular with the local authorities, and had to leave Bratislava. His journey lasted two years, at the end of which he arrived in Israel, entered the Haganah (the Jewish paramilitary organisation) where he taught the basic techniques of self-defence. He then continued his activities within Tsahal, the Israeli army. It was for Tsahal that for twenty years Imi perfected his system, while teaching instructors and members of the army's elite units.
    Having been recognised by the Ministry of Education, Krav Maga was later integrated into civilian life, both in public and private institutions. Finally it has spread world wide, particularly in France and in the United States.
    This system, Krav Maga, that Imi developed is based on moral and human values, which emphasise the importance of integrity, humility and respect for others.
    It is an israel martial arts, anti-terrorism system combat. Very usefull self-defense techniques, learn how to be ready to protect yourself in any situation !


    Kung Fu

    Creator: Bodhidharma
    Description: In the 6th century, an indian monk, Bodhidharma teach to shaolin temple the way to improve their body and mind.
    But it's really in the 70's that the Kung Fu will be known by everyone....because of one guy "Bruce lee".
    Kung Fu is an "internal" and "external" martial art which means that it helps you to use your internal energy and improve your body too.
    There is a lot of styles in Kung Fu, around 400 ! A lot of style names are based on animals names because Kung Fu uses animals positions and techniques (ex: tiger, dragon, snake...).
    In this martial art, you will learn how to use you body to punch, kick, immobilize, strangle, block...
    This very old martial art can help to improve yourself to strech your body, improve your speed, agility...
    It takes time to masterize the movements but their beauty and efficacity are very motivating.
    The animal's forms explain the human how the nature is great and strong too. It is a very good thing to understand the outside world and to improve yourself !
    There is many kind of competition in Kung Fu from "Light-contact" to "Full-contact".

    Choi Lei Fut 蔡李佛 style:
    Under the school/branch name of Hung Sing Kwoon 鴻勝舘 (translated to Kou Shou Kan for Japan)
    Choi Lei Fut is a well-known style of Kung Fu that gained popularity in Hong Kong during the 1960's and 70's. During that era competitions were held on rooftops where fighters from all styles gathered to put their skills to the test. It was here that Choi Lei Fut proved its effectiveness and made a name for itself. Choi Lei Fut is one of the most widely practiced kung fu styles in the world today. It is well known for it's smooth circular body movements and flexible footwork, as well as its speed and devastating power. This style emphasizes the intelligent use of power as opposed to strength, and the combination of the external force with the internal will.


    Savate (French Boxing)

    Description: Born in Paris, this kind of boxing is the most technical boxing form !
    Using punches and kicks (it is forbidden to kick with your tibia), it is permitted to hit the whole body of the opponent (except behind and on the top of the head). With incredible kick techniques, at long and short distance, at high, middle and low level, Savate got a lot of great combination of movements. The spirit of savate being "touching without being touched", opponents come in contact with fast moves, hit with various and numerous techniques in combination, and move away, making savate a very fluid boxing style. It is a very good sport for improve endurance.
    There are three types of fight: Duo, Assaut and Combat. Duo is a technical show of combinations. In Assaut, fighters are judged based on their techniques during the fight and they have to control the power. Combat is the same as Assaut but fighters use full power.
